FARMINGTON – Four men were indicted Wednesday by a Franklin County grand jury on charges they caused $100,000 damage to camps on Porter Lake in Strong and New Vineyard.

Dylan R. Couturier, 18, of Livermore Falls was indicted on 11 counts of felony burglary, seven counts of felony aggravated criminal mischief, four misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and one of theft on June 17.

Zachary Heath, 19, of Farmington was indicted on 27 felony counts of burglary, seven felony counts of aggravated criminal mischief, 18 misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief, five counts of theft and a count of violation of condition of release on June 17.

Timothy Lagasse, 19, of Farmington was indicted on 16 felony counts of burglary, 15 misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and four misdemeanor counts of theft on June 17.

Shane Sturgeon, 21, of Livermore was indicted on 27 felony counts of burglary, seven felony counts of aggravated criminal mischief, 18 misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and five misdemeanor theft counts on June 17.

Three 17-year-old boys from Franklin County were also charged in connection with the Porter Lake burglaries and are expected to appear in juvenile court on Nov. 19.

One 17-year-old was charged with felony counts of burglary and aggravated criminal mischief, and misdemeanors of theft by unauthorized taking and theft by receiving stolen property.

Another one was charged on a misdemeanor of theft by receiving stolen property and the third faces charges of felony burglary and aggravated criminal mischief and a misdemeanor of theft by receiving stolen property.

The individuals were drinking alcohol when they broke into the camps between June 16 and 17, Assistant District Attorney Andrew Robinson told a judge in June.

Camp owners started reporting damage to police on June 17 and complaints continued as more owners arrived at their properties for the summer.
