SABATTUS – The wedding of Jessica Marie Lipofsky and John Leslie Irving was held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 4 in the back yard at the home of the parents of the bride in Sabattus. Carmella Murphy, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Irving is the daughter of John and Karen Lipofsky of Sabattus. Mr. Irving is the son of Peter and Rebecca Irving of Machias.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown covered with lace, crystal beads and sequins. She carried a bouquet of colorful mums, yellow daisies and orange Gerber daisies.
A reception followed at the Lipofsky residence, after which the couple traveled to Disney World in Orlando, Fla. They are residing in Farmington.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Oak Hill High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in early childhood education. She is an Ed-tech III for MSAD 52 at Turner Primary School in Turner.
The bridegroom is a 2008 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in political science. He is employed by the Jay Police Department and also the UMF Police Department.
