Everyone has their own hero. But have you ever really thought about yours? A lot of people haven’t, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have one. Sometimes there’s more than one special person you look up to and at other times you have one true hero. Do you really know who that amazing person is?
It’s not easy to pick one person who you admire. Sure, everybody knows they loved Britney Spears when they were younger, but when you get older, it’s usually undecided.
Boys usually look forward to getting up at five a.m. to go fishing with their father and girls usually count down the days until that special mother-daughter shopping trip every Saturday. But just because you love doing all of those great things with your parents, does that make them your heros? Your parents will be there for you. You can almost always count on that.
Many teenagers love that special band or artist. Maybe it’s a book author. Or even a movie actress or actor. Although, just because you like their work, does that mean you should look up to them and be like them? It could be because that person is really glamorous, or because they’re brave for some certain reason. Everyone has their own opinion.
Truthfully, I’m not sure whether I have one or more heroes. If you don’t know your hero, you should think about it. Someday it may be more important than you think.
