BUCKFIELD – The Parent-Teacher Organization of SAD 39 and the teachers of Buckfield Junior-Senior High School are joining to seek nominees for recognition on Buckfield High School’s Wall of Honor.
The wall will recognize graduates who are exemplary role models and possess the characteristics of good citizenship. The criteria for nomination include social responsibility, active participation in the community and leadership.
Nominees need not be famous, rich or powerful, but they should be someone young people can look to as a role model. Persons possessing any or all of the criteria can be nominated.
The committee intends to honor at least two Buckfield graduates this year and will continue seeking nominations for future recognition. Those chosen to be honored on the wall will be invited to speak at Buckfield Junior-Senior High School about their lives and careers. Honorees will have their photographs and a short biography placed on the Wall of Honor at the high school.
The committee would like to receive nominations by Dec. 15 for recognition this school year, although they will accept nominations at any time. Send nominations to Marcia Turcotte at [email protected].
