BRYANT POND – Mr. and Mrs. Robert Greenwald of Portland are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Greenwald, to Alex Johnson, son of Carolyn Johnson of Bryant Pond and James Johnson of Greenwood.

Miss Greenwald is a 2001 graduate of Deering High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and is continuing her education with a master’s degree in literacy from the University of New England. She is employed as a third grade teacher at Dirigo Elementary School in Peru.

Mr. Johnson is a 2001 graduate of Telstar Regional High School and a 2002 graduate of Wyoming Technical Institute. He earned an associate degree in automotive technology and management. He has his ASE certifications and has been employed at Rowe Auburn for five years.

A summer 2010 wedding is being planned.
