AUBURN – Auburn Public Library’s holiday open house will celebrate an old-fashioned holiday from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the library, 49 Spring St.

Special guest Lorraine Masure will spark memories for many with her talk, “Growing Up Franco-American (with no patent leather shoes),” a presentation about being raised as a first-generation American with a Franco heritage.

The Great Falls Model Railroad Club will return with a train display, while the children’s room will have craft activities and special guests for storytime.

The library will be decked in holiday splendor, courtesy of library volunteers and Temple Shalom, and gifts and refreshments will be available. A drawing for the holiday stuffed bear and a CD/MP3 player will also be held. Raffle tickets are still on sale at the circulation desk.

Proceeds from the open house will benefit the library’s collections and services. For more information, contact Kellie DeMers at 333-6640, ext. 5.
