OXFORD – Three people avoided injury on Tuesday afternoon after a head-on collision on Route 121.
Officer Jim Richardson of the Oxford Police Department said a 1999 Dodge Durango driven by Amy Owens, 22, of Oxford was making a left turn onto Skeetfield Road around 4:45 p.m. when her vehicle collided with a 1999 Mercury Mystique driven by 49-year-old Ross Damon of Oxford.
Richardson said the Mystique was probably totaled, while the Durango had heavy front end damage.
Oxford police, Oxford Rescue, and Oxford Fire Department responded. Richardson said Owens and Damon declined rescue services, along with a passenger in Owens’ vehicle. Richardson said he did not have the passenger’s name.
He said no charges will be filed in the accident.
