GORHAM – Dan Gordon scored a pair of goals and assists to lead the University of Southern Maine to a 6-3 victory over Williams Colleg.

Gordon cracked open the scoring 7:38 into the first period to give the Huskies an early lead. Paul Conter and Pat Noonan contributed a goal and two assists each for USM.

The Ephs evened up the scoring 12:21 into the third period when Matt Masucci and Ryan Young paired up for a goal and an assist each. But, Conter, Josh Giordani and Jon Rutt responded for Southern Maine for a pair of power play goals and an empty net tally to clinch the win.

Colby 111, UMA 40

WATERVILLE – Christian Van Loenen scored a team-high 15 points as Colby steamrolled to a 111-40 victory over the University of Maine at Augusta on Friday evening.

Van Loenen shot 5-for-6 from the field, including a 4-for-4 effort from 3-point range.

Alex Swanson added 13 points and six rebounds in 14 minutes of play. The Mules (5-3) also received 11 points from Noah Atlas and 10 points from Eric Beaulieu.

Deon Cheers provided the Moose (3-9) with 15 points in the losing effort.
