MEXICO – The following incidents were handled by the Mexico Police Department recently.

Arrest

• Joshua Messier, 25, Rumford Center Road, Andover, domestic assault, 1:55 a.m. Nov. 30, at Sun Valley Circle. He was released from the Mexico Police Department on $500 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan. 6.

Accident

• A vehicle driven by Dayl T. Gurney, 48, Martin Drive, Lewiston, struck a guardrail at 1:32 a.m. Nov. 23, on Highland Terrace. His 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck had $5,000 damage. Damage to the guardrail was valued at $1,000. Gurney was summoned on a charge of operating under the influence.

Burglary

• Someone broke into Tommy Guns Pitstop Bar, Roxbury Road, the night of Nov. 29. It was reported at 11:46 a.m. Nov. 30. A $450 door was destroyed. Taken were $1,000 in alcoholic beverages, a cash register valued at $150, and $200 cash. Police have leads.

Vandalism

• Someone poured dirt into the gas tank of a van owned by Lincare Inc., Porter Bridge Road, the weekend of Nov. 29-30. It was reported at 12:48 p.m. Dec. 1. Damage to the vehicle could be as much as $500.

• A Howard Street resident reported that someone threw a brick through the windshield of a vehicle parked in the yard, causing $500 damage. The incident was reported at 5:49 a.m. Nov. 26.

• Someone broke a showroom window valued at $1,100 at Coulthard’s Pools and Spas, on River Road. It was reported at 12:57 p.m. Nov. 21.

Theft

• The theft of a 20-foot by 20-inch black PVC culvert was reported at 1:20 p.m. Nov. 18 from Ledgeview Hill Road. The culvert is valued at $500.

• The theft of between $600 and $800 in jewelry and coins from a Backkingdom Road residence was reported at 4:52 p.m. Dec. 1. Police have suspects.

• Region 9 School of Applied Technology administration reported the theft of two computer hardware memory chips, valued at $300, at 11:25 a.m. Dec. 3.

• A Harlow Hill resident reported the theft of $80 cash from her home at 10:03 a.m. Dec. 4. Police have suspects.
