If you ask me, I would not like it if my school was filled with gum. That would just be gross. But that might happen soon. People are putting that under consideration and I think that should not happen.

Parents have jobs. My parents do an amazing job at what they do, and I bet that yours do, too. When my parents get a paycheck, it usually goes to food and things we need around the house. But we all know that most kids love to go school shopping at the beginning of the year for new school clothes. Just imagine everyday coming home with gum on your clothes because kids play sick jokes. So, no gum chewing in school.

Most kids have braces. Even I have braces. With those braces, gum is out of the picture. But if all of their friends are doing what makes you think they won’t? Braces usually cost two to three thousand dollars but if they are damaged they have to pay more money to get them fixed or taken off.

Let’s just say we allowed gum in school. Some kid asked this girl out to a dance. She said no, she was already going with someone. He got really mad, and during the next class he stuck a big chunk of gum in her hair and she had to cut most of her hair of cause of it.

So just think about it for a second. Gum is for home and not for school. So please just really understand what could happen if gum was allowed. It would be a total nightmare!
