DIXFIELD – Dirigo High School has announced that this year’s DAR Good Citizenship Award is presented to senior Anna Chase, daughter of Ray Chase and Lisa Belanger of Dixfield.

The selection process involved the faculty of Dirigo High School selecting four members of the senior class who they believed were most representative of the qualities of the DAR. The members of the senior class then voted for one of the four.

As the DAR Good Citizen, Chase will receive a DAR Good Citizen pin, certificate and a wallet recognition card. She is also eligible to enter the DAR Good Citizens Scholarship Contest.

The student selected as the school’s DAR Good Citizen must have the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism to an outstanding degree.

In addition to the winner, Dirigo High School has recognized the other nominees: seniors Kristen Harvey, Jazmine Brooks and Rachel Child.
