AUGUSTA – The Al Corey Big Band, conducted by Brian Nadeau, will play at a New Year’s Eve buffet/dance Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Augusta Civic Center. Featured guest clarinetist Karen Beacham will perform with the band.

The event, put on by the University of Maine at Augusta College of Arts and Humanities and UMA Senior College, will run from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the north wing ballroom.

Tickets are $37/$25 student, $15 for 12 and under. Call the UMA senior office, 621-3551, for tickets or more information. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Snow date is Jan. 4.
