SCITUATE, Mass. (AP) – Authorities have identified a man killed in a Scituate house explosion that heavily damaged several nearby homes as 45-year-old David Kupris.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said Monday the results of an autopsy and cause of death will be made public after further testing.
Kupris was killed in the Wednesday explosion that also broke windows up to a third of a mile away.
Kim Chubbuck, the destroyed home’s owner who was at work when it exploded, told reporters at the scene she was concerned that her boyfriend was in the house.
Seven neighboring houses were damaged, and four are uninhabitable. The street was evacuated, power and natural gas shut off for a time as a precaution and 15 people had to leave their homes.
