Warming center
FARMINGTON – The Warming Center at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in January. For lunch reservations, call 778-2163.
Dance workshops
WILTON – Square dance workshops, offered through SAD 9 Adult Education, will resume at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at the Academy Hill School.
There will be free introductory classes for prospective new dancers on Jan. 5 and 12. All are invited. Refreshments will be served.

New dance site
FARMINGTON – Farmington Contradance has a winter location, the Fairbanks School Meeting House, 508 Fairbanks Road.
A dance will be held Saturday, Jan. 10, with the Franklin County Fiddlers and John McIntyre calling. A workshop will be held at 7:30 p.m. and dance at 8.
All dances are taught and called and no partner is necessary. Cost is $6, with $15 family maximum. For more information, visit www.starleft.org.
Circle meets
JAY – The St. Rose of Lima Church Circle 677, Daughters of Isabella, gathered at the VFW on Dec. 15 to celebrate Christmas with about 80 attending.
As they arrived, they met LaurieAnn Castonguay, who took the gift brought for their mystery sister. Louise Parker provided the Christmas music. After supper, the Christmas gifts were handed out.
New concert time
NORWAY – The fourth annual Christmastide Concert at the Second Congregational Church, 205 Main St., was postponed due to a snow storm on Dec. 21. The Music Committee has extended a welcome to all in the surrounding communities for the concert, which is rescheduled to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4.
There will be carols, English hand bells, secular and sacred choral music. Refreshments, prepared by the cooks of the Second Congregational Church, will be served after the concert.
