Liza Walworth, daughter of Drs. Edward and Candace Walworth of Lewiston, received a masters of arts with distinction in material and visual culture from the Department of Anthropology, University College London in September.

Her focus was on cultural heritage in the midst of conflict. Walworth wrote her dissertation on UNESCO’s world heritage system and in particular, the Minaret and archeological remains of Jam, Afganistan.
