BIDDEFORD (AP) – Authorities say a man was being treated for leg injuries after being hit by an Amtrak passenger train in Biddeford.
Biddeford police say the man was taken to Maine Medical Center after being hit by the Downeaster, which runs from Portland to Boston, at the Main Street crossing shortly before 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
The victim’s name was not immediately available. Biddeford police said the accident is being investigated by the railroad police.
