SABATTUS – The wedding of Ashley Stein and Robert Gayton III was held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 2 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus. The Rev. Robert Chouinard officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Gayton is the daughter of Karl and Linda Stein of Sabattus. Mr. Gayton is the son of Robert and Wanda Gayton of Sabattus.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a satin corset ball gown with beaded lace appliqués, organza pick-up skirt, lace-up back and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white roses and white stephanotis in a silver holder.

Stacy Nault was honor attendant for her best friend. Bridesmaids were Alaina Gayton, sister of the bridegroom, Magan Blais, cousin of the bridegroom, and Stephanie Charette and Emily Sabine, friends of the bride. Ayla Gayton, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

The best friend of the bridegroom, Bradley Krook, served as best man. Ushers were Kyle Galarneau, Eric Watson, David Saucier and Marcel Deforge, friends of the bridegroom. Austin Gayton, brother of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Elks Lodge in Lewiston, after which the couple went to Moosehead Lake. They are residing in Sabattus.

The bride is a graduate of Oak Hill High School and graduated from Central Maine Community College with a degree for medical transcription. She is employed at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in the prevention and wellness department.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Oak Hill High School and received a bachelor’s degree in American history from the University of Maine at Farmington. He is employed at Lowe’s and is also part of the Sabattus and Wales Fire Departments.
