DURHAM – Cori Holt, Melinda McKechnie and Laurie Piossonniere are running unopposed for three seats on the Board of Directors of the new Durham, Freeport and Pownal school system.

Voting by secret ballot will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Durham Elementary School gymnasium. The new system will become operational July 1.

Residents in the three towns voted Nov. 4 to consolidate their school systems. Freeport will have six seats on the board, Durham three and Pownal two.
