Dear Sun Spots: I have what I believe may be some vintage clothes, if 50 to 60 years is considered to be vintage. Sometime ago, someone informed me that somebody in the Andover area was taking in clothing of this category. They did not know the name of the person and I have been unsuccessful in my research. I thought maybe you could help me with this column. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: Sun Spots was unable to locate this person, and hopes someone will contact the column with information.

Dear Sun Spots: Thanks for the remarkable way you find information to meet the needs of your readers! In my daily reading of your requests, I noticed one for sweater mittens. Would you please add my name as a maker of these fleece-lined, recycled wool sweater mittens?

Also, I wanted to ask your readers that if anyone has 100 percent wool or close to 100 percent wool sweaters that they no longer want, I could definitely use them, and I would be happy to take them off their hands!

I am also in need of large buttons, and am looking for plastic storage bags that zip shut, the kind that comforters come in, in order to neatly store the sweaters in my home. Again, I would be happy to pick them up! Call 933-3511. Keep up the great work! Thanks again! – Pauline Therriault, Monmouth.
