AUGUSTA – The People of Color Fund of the Maine Community Foundation seeks grant proposals for projects related to leadership development and civic engagement in Maine’s people of color community.
The People of Color Fund is the first grantmaking fund in Maine dedicated to addressing the needs of people of color, with a goal of achieving greater racial equity.
The fund will make project grants and organizational development grants of up to $7,500. The deadline for applications is March 15.
Organizations eligible for grants must provide services or support to an identifiable community of color in Maine and have people of color in leadership positions.
