LEWISTON – A surprise 50th anniversary party for Dick and Myrna Demers of Lewiston, was held recently at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston. The gathering was hosted by their children and spouses, Cindy and Larry Baril, Rick and Sandy Demers, Randy and Polly Demers and Jody and Jen Demers.
The couple was married Nov. 22, 1958, at Sacred Heart Church, Auburn.
All nine of their grandchildren were also present, Chad Baril, Kim Guay, Shannon Daigle and Ryan, Scott, Dawna, Jon, David and Alex Demers. They also have nine great-grandchildren.
They were presented a gift of money for a spring trip to Washington, D.C.
Mr. Demers is a drum instructor and Mrs. Demers is retired from the volunteer department at St. Mary’s Hospital.
