LEWISTON – The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Ramada Inn. A social half hour will be followed by lunch at noon. There will be a short business meeting after the speaker.
Kerry Irish, director of the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing in Lewiston, will be the guest speaker.
Prior to her work at the center, Irish was employed as a clinical oncology social worker for 13 years.
She has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Georgia and is board certified as an oncology social worker. She is serving on the board of directors for the Association on Oncology Social Work.
Irish will discuss numerous services offered by the center and ways to become involved. A question and answer session will follow.
The next meeting will be on Feb. 24 when a program called “Tips on Tax Prep” will be presented.
