BRIDGTON – Carol J. Reeves, 68, of Bridgton and Townsend, Mass., died at her Bridgton home on Jan. 21.

She was born in Marlboro, Mass., on Nov. 19, 1940, and was educated in Massachusetts schools. She had worked for many years as a registered nurse.

She was married to Edward Reeves, who died on Dec. 31, 2005. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a very active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bridgton, serving on the Women’s Guild of the church as well as volunteering at the food pantry.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Pinkham and her husband, Martin, of Auburn; four brothers, Gilbert Busby of Greene, Stephen Busby of Dracut, Mass., Vincent Busby of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and Ed Surprenant of Marlboro, Mass.; two sisters, Charlotte Wojtaszek of North Grafton, Mass., and Amalia Rasparte of Gurnee, Ill.; three grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey and Kasey, all of Auburn; as well several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, James Lesieur, on March 26, 2000.
