Does anyone get the feeling that new technology is squeezing pocketbooks?
Game systems have come and gone. Now people can throw all those away and get a cellular phone that plays games and sends text messages. And more new game systems are available.
We all know the computer industry has changed, with desktop models practically obsolete, replaced by laptops.
The television broadcasting industry faces a change to digital signals, so people with analog televisions or older antennas have to update to new antennas, new televisions or buy digital converter boxes.
I guess by now you get my drift. It’s upgrade, upgrade, upgrade!
With people losing their houses, jobs, vehicles and such, it seems like it is the little guy who always gets stuck.
I suggest that people should help themselves and Mother Earth by putting into effect some of the practices many learned years ago and get along with what we have; return to the basics.
