The economy is affecting too many things! Now it’s even affecting animals! Many people can’t afford their pets any more with the economy like this, so they either abandon their pets or bring them into the shelter. In ONE MONTH, 250 cats and kittens came into the shelter! That’s way too many animals!
Shelters all over the country are experiencing the same problems. The result of this problem is animals being euthanized. I know it’s really sad and you might not want to hear this, but ten million animals across the nation get euthanized every year! If you want to get involved, the shelter can always use your help! You could adopt an animal, you could provide donations, you could volunteer, etc.
The animals at the shelter need the following supplies: paper towels, kitten and cat food (dry and canned), clay cat litter, pine shavings, fresh vegetables, parrot food, rabbit food, guinea pig food, rat food, gerbil and hamster toys, high-efficiency liquid laundry detergent, blankets, towels, wash cloths, small stainless steel cat bowls, bleach (not ultra), 33 gallon trash bags, HP Inkjet Cartridge Q7553A, kitten milk replacers, timothy hay, leashes, bird food, collars, soft scrub, Windex, spray bottles, gift cards to purchase gas, .42 cent postage, tape, copy paper, laser paper, labels, cat toys, dog toys, etc. The staff would appreciate any donations.
