SACO – Lauriette T. Gagnon, 78, a resident of North Street, Saco, formerly of Lewiston, died Monday, Jan. 26, with family by her side at the Evergreen Manor after a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston, March 5, 1930, the daughter of Adelard and Antoinette (Cote) Gagnon. She attended St. Peter’s School and was a 1948 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School in Lewiston.
She was an office clerk for most of her career, beginning employment in her family’s business, the former Gagnon’s Paint Store in Lewiston.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed going out to eat. She also enjoyed visiting her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include one brother, Bertrand Gagnon and wife, Doris, of Lewiston and Arizona; two sisters, Mona Blais and husband, Fernand, of Ottawa, Ontario, and Lorraine St. Hilaire of Scarborough; 18 nieces and nephews; as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Donald Gagnon.
