LEWISTON – Robert. R. Bellavence, 73, of East Hebron, died Monday, Jan. 26, at Central Maine Medical Canter.

He was born in Lewiston, on May 19, 1935, a son of the late Oscar and Alice (Bouli) Bellavance. He was educated in local Lewiston schools and worked at several area businesses throughout his life. He married Elsie Robinson in 1958, and together raised their family.

He enjoyed cars, especially antique cars, but most dear to him were his family and friends. Family and friends were the center of his life, always willing to do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat.

He also had a fondness for animals, especially his dogs, Sonya and Muddy, and his many cats. He will be remembered for his wit and was always ready with a quip.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elsie; sons, Robert L. Robinson Sr. and wife, Janet, of Turner and Randy Bellavance and companion, Jane Hansen, of Norway; a daughter, Brenda Harrington and companion, Wes, of Conway, N.H.; a brother, Roland Bellavence; two sisters, Arlene Edmonds and Diane French; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Bonnie Bellavance.
