AUBURN – Tim McIntire, whose latest comedy CD is called “Scatterbrain,” will headline the Saturday, Jan. 31, comedy show at The Fireside Inn & Suites. He will perform with Portland favorite Seth Bond Perry and Boston’s Chris Pennie.

McIntire has been one of the most prolific comics in Boston for more a decade. He began his career in Colorado and honed his act on the road, working nearly every comedy club, roadhouse and speakeasy between California and Pennsylvania.

After moving to Boston, he quickly gained notoriety for his Thursday Night Fights at the Comedy Studio, his edgy hosting of the Boston Music Awards and his first comedy album, “Poor Impulse Control.”

His “Scatterbrain” CD, written for Nickelodeon, has been featured on National Public Radio.

The Boston Globe has described McIntire as a “comic on the verge of stardom,” and the Boston Herald has called him “a breakout comic to watch.”

The Fireside Inn offers comedy every Saturday night with top headliners from around New England. Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $14 at the door, $12 with a reservation. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. For reservations, call (207) 777-1777. The Fireside Inn & Suites is at 1777 Washington St., at Exit 75 of the Maine Turnpike.
