LEWISTON – Theresa P. St. Pierre, 93, of Stetson Road, Auburn, a former 25 Pine St., Lewiston resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Central Maine Medical Center, peacefully after a short illness with her family by her side.

She was born in Winslow, on May 9, 1915, the daughter of Napoleon and Florence (Dion) Poirier. In 1951, she moved from New York City to this area. She worked for many years as a payroll supervisor at the former Shapiro Brothers Shoe Co. and several other shoe companies as well.

She was a volunteer at CMMC, Community Concepts, Lewiston Senior Citizens and Lewiston Middle School. She was a member of the Harbur Light Church, where she was treated like family.

She’ll miss Allison and Alyssa very much who were like grandchildren to her. She enjoyed residing at Schooner Estates, especially playing beano with Cindy.

She is survived by a brother, Arthur Poirier of Lewiston; sister-in-law, Faye Poirier of Las Vegas, Nev.; one granddaughter, Debbie Brissette; and a great-grandson, Ryan Brissette.

She was predeceased by her husband, Aime J. St. Pierre on Aug. 6, 1974; one son, Raymond Bernatchez; two sisters, Pauline Brown and Jeannette Finch; and three brothers, Meddie, Raymond and Albert Poirier.
