LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday morning for Richard Desjardins at Prince of Peace Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, following prayers at the Fortin Group Funeral Home.
The Rev. Joseph Daniels celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery where interment will take place in the family lot. At the conclusion of the prayers at the cemetery, a special song, “My Way,” was played, commemorating the way in which Richard lived his life.
Pallbearers were his sister, Diane Desjardins, and Andy Pratt, Danny and Bob Desjardins, Larry Roy and Diane Hutchinson.
Arrangements were under the care of Fortin Group Funeral Home, Cremation and Monument Services of Lewiston.
