Band to play

PARIS – The Jones Dance Band will play old-fashioned dance music from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturdays, Feb. 7, 21 and 28, at the Legion Hall, Church Street. Cost is $5 for adults. The lunch counter will be open.

Snowshoe hike

Four Chaplains

GREENWOOD – The Jackson-Silver Post 68, American Legion, will hold its annual Four Chaplains service at the Locke Mills Union Church at the regular church service at 9 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 15. Everyone is welcome.

AARP to meet

PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chapter, AARP, will meet on Monday, Feb. 9, at the First Congregational Church, East Main Street, Paris. A macaroni-and-cheese luncheon will be served at noon.

Reservations are required by calling Thelma at 743-6124 by noon Friday, Feb. 6. Cost is $6.50.

The meeting will start at 1 p.m. followed by Christine Hayden speaking about new health and wellness programs sponsored by the Stephens Memorial Hospital new learning resource center. Hayden is a health educator at the hospital.
