FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Animal Shelter staff invites the public to meet the man of their dreams, fantasies and nightmares – Beckham, a man for all seasons and all moods.

Staff said he is a cat to chase demons and dust bunnies, and he will clean underneath the sofa. He will charm people with his handsome ways, they said. Those interested in meeting Beckham and his friends at the shelter are invited to stop by and visit.

New dogs include a male black pit mix pup from New Sharon, a young male lab mix from Wilton and an altered male Plott mix from Farmington.

The shelter will hold a vaccination clinic from 9 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8. Rabies and other vaccinations will be available. For more information, call 778-2638.

A benefit event brought in 170 pounds of dry food, 174 cans of food, nine boxes of biscuits, 14 packs of treats, five gallons of bleach, 40 pounds of litter, laundry detergent, paper towels, fleece blankets, bags of cat and dog toys, leash and collar sets, bunny food and bird food and cash donations totaling more than $190.
