Lent beginning

WILTON – The Wilton Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 386 Main St., will observe the the season of Lent with an Ash Wednesday worship service at 7 p.m. Feb. 25.

Town breakfast

RANGELEY – A ladies/community breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Farm House Inn, Main Street, Route 4. All are welcome.

Those who have special dietary needs should call in advance, 864-5805.

Church supper

NEW SHARON – A baked bean supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the New Sharon United Methodist Church. The menu will include assorted casseroles, corn casseroles, chop suey, macaroni and cheese, salads, hot rolls, homemade pies, and coffee. The price is $7 for adults and $2 for children under 12.

The proceeds will be used for current expenses. The supper is sponsored by the Woman’s Society of the Church.
