Captive Elements has an ambitious schedule for 2009 beginning with Opening Night from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the Art House. Featured artists are John Cain, a newcomer to the gallery, and house artist Ray Fannin, whose untitled artwork is shown above. Captive Elements’ educational series titled “Masters, Movements and Contemporary Art” begins with famed artist Andrew Wyeth. Both shows will be up through March 7. Snacks, beverages and background music will be provided Opening Night; admission is free. Captive Elements is at 25 Landry Road in Lewiston, off of Main Street behind Mechanics Savings Bank.
