AUBURN – Grace V. Keelty, 86, of Auburn and formerly of East Sumner, died in Auburn on Thursday, Feb. 5.

She was born in Woodhaven, N.Y., on April 1, 1922, the daughter of Warren and Gertrude (Tully) Keating.

She had a very good life and was active in the East Sumner Historical Society and town planning board. She loved to garden, quilt and especially loved animals.

She is survived by a special companion, George Healy of Auburn; two sons, Thomas Keelty and his wife, Denise, of Audubon, Pa., and Michael Keelty of Queens, N.Y.; three daughters, Ellen Cleary and her husband, Ken, of Long Island, N.Y., Mary Jo Knight of New York, N.Y., and Carol Lehmann and her husband, Pierre, of Westchester, N.Y.; one sister, Gertrude Zahner of Missouri; and nine grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Keelty.
