WILTON – A meeting to discuss plans for the foot of Wilson Lake, Bass Park and the boat launch area will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, in the downstairs meeting room at the Wilton Town Office.

While a number of people have been meeting over the last several months with Betty Shibles on a general downtown beautification and improvement project, plans for the foot of the lake also came under discussion, said Paul Gooch, organizer of Tuesday’s meeting.

“As we start the discussions,” he said, “it is important to note that nothing has been finalized and all ideas are welcome. I would hope the one exception to that statement would be to ‘do nothing,’ as I believe to do nothing, in the long run, will be harmful to the ecology, as well as the aesthetics, of our lake.”

Those who expressed interest or concern and anyone who would like to be involved in the discussion is invited Tuesday night, Gooch said.
