Andy Valley Council 8742, Knights of Columbus, Auburn, has earned the distinction of the Star Council Award for the 2007-2008 fraternal year. The organization’s headquarters, located in New Haven, Conn., gives the award to recognize overall excellence in the areas of membership recruitment and retention, promotion of the fraternal insurance program and sponsorship of service-oriented activities. The award was presented to the membership by State Warden Norm Gray at a special ceremony.
