LIVERMORE FALLS – Selectmen have re-opened the search for candidates for the town manager position.

Former Town Manager Martin Puckett left on Sept. 26, 2008, to manage three towns in Aroostook County.

Interim Town Manager Kristal Flagg, also town clerk and treasurer, has been filling the position since that time.

Selectmen had received 19 applications for the job. A search committee reviewed applications and chose two of them to interview.

No agreement was reached with either candidate.

The town is advertising for the position on the Maine Municipal Association Web site. According to the site, the board is seeking someone with experience in budgeting and financial management, grant preparation and administration, personnel and labor relations, economic development and public works operations.

The person would oversee a $2.5 million budget and 35 full-time employees.

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27.
