PERU – Carl S. “Fuzz” Grant, 48, of Peru, died unexpectedly, Monday, Feb. 9, in Peru.

He was born on Jan. 27, 1961, in Portland, the son of John and Betty (Swan) Grant. He attended school in Hanover, Dixfield and Connecticut, and had been working as a flagger in construction zones for several years.

Fuzz loved being in the outdoors whether it be working or for recreation, especially hunting. He was a true family man who lived life to the fullest. He had a very outgoing personality and enjoyed making people laugh.

He is survived by his parents, John and Betty Grant of Peru; his longtime companion, Sue Breton of Peru; his children, Shawn Thomas of Florida, and Heather Grant of Pennsylvania; a granddaughter, Chloey Thomas of Florida; two sisters, Tina Grant of Peru and Bonnie Dyment and her husband, Ron, of Peru; Sue’s parents, Phyllis and Ellery Turner of Peru; his beloved dogs, Papa and Suebee; and a potbelly pig, Wacky.
