NORWAY – A Norway man received minor injuries Monday evening when his snowmobile collided with a car on top of Pikes Hill.

Tom Turner, 40, was riding a 2005 snowmobile on a trail on Pikes Hill about 5:30 p.m. when he crossed Eddie Kahkonen Road, and the front of a 1997 Subaru driven by Donald Gouin, 49, of Stoneham struck the side of Turner’s snowmobile, police Chief Robert Federico said.

It is not clear whether Turner was thrown from his snowmobile, but Frederico said he was bruised but not seriously injured.

His brother, Mark Turner, also of Norway, said he was riding ahead of Tom, crossed the road and continued up to the crest of the hill before he noticed his brother was not behind him. Mark Turner said he turned around, drove his snowmobile back to the road where he found his brother on the side of the road.

Turner was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital by PACE ambulance for treatment.

Frederico said no citations will be issued.
