PARIS – A SAD 17 bus was towed from Stock Farm Road on Wednesday afternoon when the radiator overflow hose came loose and steamed the engine compartment, Assistant Chief Willie Buffington of the Paris Fire Department said.

The driver of the empty bus noticed the steam at about 2:30 p.m. and radioed for help. He took the fire extinguisher and sprayed it under the front fender without opening the hood, Buffington said.

Firefighters assisted with the incident, and the bus was towed to the school garage.
