LISBON FALLS – Lisbon Falls Florist opened its doors Feb. 2 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Local businesses, Lisbon Town Council members and officials and area citizens welcomed the new florist to the community.

The business is at 700 Lisbon Road and is co-owned and operated by Karen Morse and Renee Leavitt, both of Lisbon.

Both have worked in the field for many years.

Lisbon Falls Florist offers fresh flowers, plants, dish gardens and hanging plants, balloons, plush, cards, giftware and other offerings. Delivery service is available.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon. For more information, call 353-5222.

Budget, credit workshops set

LEWISTON – Women, Work and Community will offer workshops from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 and March 12 at USM-Lewiston/Auburn College LearningWorks. The workshops can help participants reach financial goals. Those interested can attend one or both.

“Budgeting Basics” is offered Feb. 19. Those attending can learn how to build a budget that will pay bills and leave a bit left at the end of the month.

“Building and Keeping Good Credit” is offered March 12. Participants can learn tools for reducing debt and improving credit.

Chamber After Hours is Feb. 19

LEWISTON – The February Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 19 at Five County Credit Union, 35 Ash St.

Business After Hours is held once a month at a chamber member’s place of business.
