NORTH JAY – Greg K. Dorr, 47, of North Jay, died unexpectedly at home on Feb. 11.

He was born in Farmington on May 19, 1961, the son of Gordon and Ramona (Smith) Dorr. He received his education in Jay schools and worked locally his entire life. He worked at Norwalk Shoe, Maine D.O.T., Webber Oil and the last few years for his Uncle Rocky, as the best metal cutter ever, alongside his brother and cousins.

He kept to himself, but loved his family and was especially proud of his sons. He enjoyed NASCAR, the outdoors and picking flowers for loved ones. He also enjoyed tinkering on cars, riding around on country roads, drinking a beer and listening to country music. He was known for his dry wit humor and one-liners. Whenever asked if he needed anything, he always responded with “all set.” He also loved his little dog, Jack.

He is survived by his sons, Casey and Correy Dorr of Wilton; brothers, Gary Dorr and his wife, Wandalyn, and Irving Dorr and his wife, Joy; a sister, Mary Ann Dorr; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; and his ex-wife and mother of his sons, Darlene Lilly.

He was predeceased by his parents; and uncles, Perley, Frank, Phil and Alton.
