FARMINGTON – Flory V. Choate of Wilton, died at Franklin Memorial Hospital on Feb. 14.
She was born in Rumford, on Sept. 10, 1932, the daughter of Laura Rolfe and Lawrence Freeman. She was married to Harris H. Choate Jr. on April 22, 1948. They were married for 41 years until his death on Jan. 8, 1989.
She worked for several years in shoe shops around the area and worked as a certified nursing assistant at Canton and Winthrop nursing homes.
She leaves two brothers, George and Lionel Freeman of Rumford; four daughters, Sharon and Larry Gray of Mount Vernon, Patricia and Rich Reynolds of Auburn, Diana and Richard Merrill of Wilton, Susan Tuell of Auburn; one son, Gary and Tammy Choate of Jay; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one brother, Ellsworth Freeman; one sister, Olive; two sons, Harris H. Choate III and Lawrence A. Choate; and one great-grandchild.
