BETHEL – Selectmen will convene a special board meeting Wednesday, Feb. 18, after the town meeting scheduled for 7 p.m.

Town Manager Scott Cole said selectmen will continue discussing the application process to hire a new town manager.

Earlier this year, selectmen unanimously voted not to renew Cole’s contract, which expires at the end of June.

Cole said selectmen will start the meeting in open session, then likely hold an executive session, during which, a clerical employee may participate.

“No specific action by the board is anticipated following executive session, at this time,” Cole added.
