AUBURN – Crystal E. McIntire Woolf, 74, of 198 Russell St., Lewiston, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, just three days before her 75th birthday.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1934, to Herbert and Ethel (Whitney) Pierson in Skowhegan and was educated in Waterville.

She spent many years in the nursing field and in private business. Her life was devoted to her children, 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed beano, cribbage, bowling, knitting and horseracing.

She was past president of the Barker Mill Senior Citizens and the Lewiston Senior Citizens; chairperson of the Auburn City Democratic Committee; member of the Androscoggin County Democratic Committee; Collie Club of America, Collie Club of Maine and the Lewiston-Auburn Kennel Club.

Surviving are her children, Kathie and Reggie Dubois of Greene, Raymond and LeeAnn Butler of Illinois, Lita Blanchard of Winthrop, Daniel Butler of Florida, Douglas and Alicia McIntire of Greene, Carmen Thompson of Auburn, Emmett and Ruth Woolf of Virginia, Michael and Lisa Woolf of Lewiston, Jeanne and Forest Woodruff of Baileyville and Claudia and Jesse Cleveland of Texas; and her husband, Arnold Woolf of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by a brother, Harold; and a granddaughter, Theanna.

She was adored by her children, grand and great-grandchildren.
