Between 6 a.m. Feb. 8 and midnight Feb. 16, Rumford police responded to 72 complaints, not including traffic stops.

Arrests/summonses

• Amy Decosta, 38, of Portland, arrested Feb. 8 at 3:59 p.m. by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on a charge of operating after suspension. Decosta posted $400 unsecured bail and was released with a May 5 court date.

• Corey Child, 35, of Rumford, arrested Feb. 9 at 9:55 p.m. by Patrolman Scott Mills on a charge of probation violation; summoned by Patrolman Donald Miller on a charge of attempted assault. Child was taken to Oxford County Jail with an April 7 court date.

• Shane Richard, 23, of Rumford, arrested Feb. 10 at 2:57 p.m. by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on charges of violation conditions of release and possession of marijuana.

• Tina Howard, 45, of Mexico, summoned Feb. 11 at 3:11 p.m. by by Sgt. David Bean on a charge of theft at a River Valley Crossing. Court date of April 7.

• Tina Howard, 45, of Mexico, summoned Feb. 11 at 4:10 p.m. by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on charges of permitting unlawful use of a motor vehicle and violation conditions of release with a May 5 court date.

• Christy Bryce, 30, of Mexico, summoned Feb. 11 at 4:10 p.m. by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on a charge of operating after suspension with a May 5 court date.

• Thomas Moore, 20, of Mexico, arrested Feb. 12 at 4:18 p.m. by Patrolman Winson on a charge of operating after suspension. Moore posted $400 unsecured bail and was released with a May 5 court date.

• Esther Dyer, 22, of Rumford, arrested Feb. 13 at 3:25 p.m. Sgt. David Bean on a charge of domestic violence assault. Dyer posted $400 unsecured bail and was released with an April 7 court date.

• Philip Mosher, 26, of Rumford, summoned Feb. 14 at 4:18 p.m. by Patrolman Donald Miller on charges of operating without a license and violation conditions of release with a May 5 court date.

• Roxanne Trenoweth, 31, of Rumford, arrested Feb. 15 at 11:55 a.m. by Patrolman Scott Mills on a charge of domestic violence assault. Trenoweth was taken to Oxford County Jail with an April 7 court date.

Crash

On Feb. 8 at 4:05 p.m., Gregory Fraser, 55, of Newry, was taken to Rumford Hospital and later to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with injuries from a highway collision. He was traveling west on Route 2 when a van driven by Richard Suydam, 54, of Rumford pulled out of the River Valley Crossing Complex into his path. Fraser’s 1995 Toyota received approximately $1,000 damage to the front while Suydam’s 1992 Plymouth van sustained $2,500 to the driver’s side rear door.

Criminal Mischief

On Feb. 9 at 11:28 a.m., a Knox Street resident reported someone damaged the roof of her vehicle. It was estimated at $700. Incident under investigation.

On Feb. 12 at 4:39 p.m., a Pine Street resident reported someone damaged the cap to her oil tank. Incident under investigation.

Theft

On Feb. 12 at 4:02 p.m., a Rumford business reported the theft of $44.57 in gas. Incident is under investigation.

On Feb. 12 at 5:46 p.m., a Hancock Street resident reported an identity theft involving use of their ATM bank card number online. Incident under investigation.

Wanted

Kierston Anderson, 33, last known of Rumford, is wanted on a numerous warrants for failure to appear.
