AUBURN – The Androscoggin County Republicans will hold their annual Lincoln Day Dinner & Auction on Friday, March 6, at the Hilton Garden Inn with a social hour at 5:30 p.m.

Guest speaker will be Charles Webster of Farmington, newly elected chairman of the Maine State Republican Party. Webster served in the Legislature for 14 years, including 10 years as Republican leader of the Senate. His actions and determination helped reform workers’ compensation legislation in 1991 when the only remaining workers’ comp company threatened to leave the state if the Legislature didn’t pass reforms.

The Lincoln Day Dinner is held each year by Republicans to honor President Abraham Lincoln. This year, Republicans will commemorate the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth.

The event, including dinner, costs $35 per person. Reservations may be made by calling Rosemarie Butler at 782-6373. Checks should be made out to the Androscoggin County Republicans and mailed to her at 158 Webster St., Lewiston, ME 04240 no later than March 2.
