Thomas Bodge, 10, of Auburn raised $35 for the Auburn Public Library during the Ski/Snowboard-A-Thon at Lost Valley in Auburn on Sunday. Money raised during the first-time event will be for the children and teen services, said Sharon Hawkes, administrative assistant for the library. Quinn Myrick was the top money raiser and won a season pass to the ski area for next winter. Myrick, 10, of Auburn raised $136. “We have a big family,” said Myrick’s dad, Dennis. “We always hit them up for something,” said Myrick. “It is the first time we tried it (ski-a-thon),” said Hawkes. “It’s fun to see kids raising (money) for kids.”
