AUGUSTA (AP) – Gov. John Baldacci is proposing to name two new members to the University of Maine System board of trustees.

The nominees are Eleanor Baker of Cape Elizabeth, a principal at Baker Newman Noyes accounting firm who has served on the Maine Consensus Economic Forecasting Commission, and Kevin McCarthy of Falmouth, the president and chief executive officer of Unum Group.

In addition, Baldacci is nominating Curtis Bohlen of Yarmouth to the Maine Board of Pesticides Control and proposing the reappointment of Sidney Todd Bradley of Easton to the Maine Harness Racing Commission.

Bohlen is director of the Casco Bay Estuary Partnership.

The nominations are subject to legislative committee review and Senate confirmation.
